Ford Street has seen a lot over the decades, and Elks Lodge 714 has been part of the neighborhood's story through all of it. Chartered under the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Lodge 714 operates as a genuine community anchor in Bridgeport, PA, where members gather not just for meetings but for meals, fundraisers, and the kind of face-to-face connection that digital life can't replicate.

Every October, the Lodge transforms into something locals have started calling a hidden gem. The haunted attraction draws crowds from across Montgomery County, and reviewers consistently note that the actors are fully committed and the price, around $10 per person, is almost shockingly reasonable. One visitor called it "easily worth it" and predicted ticket prices would climb once word spread further.

Beyond Halloween, the Lodge runs on the Elks' founding mission: charitable giving, support for veterans, and youth programs that put resources directly into the hands of families who need them. Membership opens doors to a network of more than 850,000 Elks nationwide, but the real draw is right here on Ford Street, where people actually know your name.

What We Offer

Lodge 714 hosts a rotating calendar of events that keeps the building busy in every season. Banquet hall rentals make it a practical choice for family gatherings, retirement parties, and community fundraisers, with the kind of no-frills pricing that lets organizers put money toward the event itself rather than the venue.

The annual haunted house is the Lodge's most talked-about public event, drawing families and thrill-seekers who want a locally produced scare without a theme-park price tag. Actors are engaged, scenes are staged with real effort, and the whole experience runs at a pace that works for both kids and adults.

Membership in the Elks brings access to the Lodge's social facilities, charitable programs, and a statewide and national network of fellow members. The Lodge actively supports veterans' initiatives and youth scholarship programs, meaning dues don't just buy you a card. They fund something that matters in the community you already live in.

"I first came here 10 years ago and finally managed to come back last night for the haunt. I was a little disappointed this year scare wise , opening scene wasn’t anything special and house felt too short compared to other years but I know every year is different, I hope to come back again next year , this place is still a diamond in the rough and doesn’t get enough credit"

"We went for the haunted house. It was AMAZING! I don't want to build it up too much, but easily worth the $10 per person! I wouldn't be surprised if it costs more next year! Great for all ages, in fact some of the people who scare you are children. That makes it extra scary because I wasn't expecting that. Overall I have to say, we go to a lot of these haunted houses every year and this is definitely the best bang for your buck. They had a creative path for you to take and, without giving too much away, a few things we've never seen before. The best thing about The Haunting of Elks Lodge 714 was the extremely high energy of the characters! It may have been because we went through right after a break, but these guys all had so much energy!! Also, it was great to see families scaring guests together. We will definitely be back next year!"

"Was unexpectedly very fun, I didn't know we had such a well put together haunted attraction locally. It doesnt take very long, but the actors were very engaged and they did a great job. The price was also very good at 20 dollars for 2 attractions."

"Definitely worth the 10 dollar admission! It is not the scariest haunted attraction, but it is definitely scary with a bit of jump scares. You get to interact with some fun characters. It only takes about 10-15 minutes to get through the attraction, but they keep you entertained the whole time. It is pretty dark almost the whole time, so be prepared to navigate with your hands."

Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
